The Ministry Formation Program for Adult Deaf Catholics (MFP for short) is based in Chicago. It is a 4-year program where you go to class in the Chicago area for one weekend 6 months of the year (usually September, October and November then March, April and May). All of the teachers work in Deaf ministry and Sign all of the classes. It is a very good program for Deaf people who want to work within the Catholic church but who are not priests.
Minette Sternke has just finished the program and will have a graduation ceremony in Champaign-Urbana sometime this summer. (Exact dates and details will be posted later.)
